Samento Microbial Defense is useful in the treatment of Lyme disease, cancer, and as an immune modulator. It is also used in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease, autoimmune illnesses and many other infections, including viral hepatitis and herpes. Samento also has an anti-hypertensive effect.

Ingredients: Tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOA)-free Uncaria Tomentosa (Cat’s Claw)
Other Ingredients: Mineral water, 20 to 25% ethanol (food grade alcohol)
Dosage and Use: Start with 1 drop twice daily in 4 oz of water, under the tongue. Slowly increase dosage to 30 drops 3 times daily.
Time of Day: Any
Quantity Needed for One-Month Supply: 1 to 2, according to dosage.
Cautions: Start with a very low dosage of Samento to avoid a strong reaction. Don’t use directly in your mouth; instead, mix Samento in some water before drinking. Don’t use Samento if pregnant or nursing, or if you have had an organ transplant.
In a study of Cat’s Claw, no adverse toxicological effects were noted even when rodents received 120,000 times the equivalent human dose.
What it Does/How it Works:
Similar to garlic, Cat’s Claw was culturally endowed with talismanic virtues of repelling evil spirits.
Today we know Samento to be a very broad spectrum antimicrobial. Most well-known for treating Lyme disease ii, it is also used as an antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial, as well against parasitic infections.
In 2004 the Ecuadorian government allowed 3 drug claims for Samento. These were as an antimicrobial, as an immune system modulator, and as an anti-inflammatory.
Pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids (POAs) and tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs) are both found in Cat’s Claw. Pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids (POAs) have profound immune modulating properties. (TOAs), however, inhibit the effectiveness of the POAs, and disrupt the nervous system. Tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids Samento does not contain the TOAs that are found in regular Cat’s Claw, making it more effective.
