HCV and Cirrhosis: What is Parenchyma?

I have HCV and cirrhosis.  CT scan reported parenchyma with no mass.  What is parenchyma?  thank you. Dana

Dana it is a fancy way of saying that their is no tumor in the tissues of the liver. Parenchyma refers to the characteristic tissue found in an organ.
