HCV: Best Apolactoferrin and Lactoferrin and Dosage
What’s the best apolactoferrin or lactoferrin for someone with hcv and how many MGs?
Lactoferrin which means 'milk iron' in Latin both regulates and contains iron. We only use Apolactoferrin in Hepatitis C patients unless they are actually anemic from iron deficiency. The dosage depends on the patient's iron/ferritin level. Generally we will give 300 mg to 600 mg twice daily with meals.
